How do I change an actor's own attributes?
Watch Video (Courtesy of Tshirtbooth)
Step-by-Step Instructions
There are three behaviors you can use to change the attributes of an actor: Change Attribute, Constrain Attribute, and Interpolate.
In each of those behaviors there is a button to the right of the first input box. By clicking on that button you open the Attribute Browser where you can find the attribute you want, starting with the name of the actor.
Once an actor's attribute is selected, it will be seen in a blue lozenge starting with “self.” instead of the actor's actual name.
Why this is useful:
- You can change the size of the actor.(without the Change Size behavior)
- You can change the position of this actor.
- You can change the color of this actor.
- You can change some of the physics/motion attributes of the actor. (i.e. linear/angular velocity, friction)
