GameSalad makes educational software that allows students to learn Computer Science by quickly and easily creating their own high-quality video games. We are in the middle of a rapidly-growing market where there is high demand for STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). GameSalad is in over 200 schools across the world and that number is rapidly growing.

About the Opportunity:

Our software is being used today by many middle schools, high schools, and
universities around the world. We are winning major accounts, have people hitting our website every week, submitting requests for quotes, and
making purchases. We need to accelerate closing business.

Selected candidate will:

  • Perform heavy prospecting (through conferences, phone, email, and in person meetings) to reach out to target prospects to propose the GameSalad solution and close business.
  • Engage in multi-party sales to educational institutions, getting all stakeholders on board with your proposal and closing business.
  • Compensation: Market rate with a heavy component of compensation commission-driven. Opportunities exist to beat quota and exceed target comp.
  • Location: Must be in Austin, Texas.

About You:

We want somebody who:

  • Has 5 years minimum experience in sales.
  • Has a successful track record of exceeding quota and commission targets.
  • Is comfortable with software sales.
  • Is a quick study and can easily adapt to a new product and company process.
  • Can listen to the customer’s needs for new features and fixes and report back to the team.
  • Is ethical, can represent the company well, and is fun to be around.
  • Can hit the ground running. We are a startup with untapped potential.
  • Strong prospecting skills required.
  • Educational sales experience strongly prefered.

  • Use existing and create new educational relationships at the district and or state level with CTE directors and administrators.
  • Perform heavy prospecting through conferences, phone, email, and in person meetings to reach and propose the GameSalad solution for district and statewide deals.
  • Engage in multi-party sales to educational institutions, getting all stakeholders on board with your proposal and closing business.
  • Compensation: Market rate with a heavy component of compensation commission-driven. Opportunities exist to beat quota and exceed target comp.
  • Location: US, may vary based on territory covered.

About You:

We want somebody who:
  • Has 5-15 years experience in educational sales or business development. 
  • Has relationships with buyers in the educational market.
  • Has a successful track record of exceeding quota and commission targets.
  • Is comfortable with software sales and working high level deals with both technical and non-technical people.
  • Is a quick study and can easily adapt to a new product and company process.
  • Can listen to the customer’s needs for new features and fixes and report back to the team.
  • Is ethical, can represent the company well, and is fun to be around.
  • Can hit the ground running. We are a startup with untapped potential.
  • Travel required.
  • Direct field experience in working with Educational customers prefered.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
