Brent Dusing is a technology business leader with a successful track record of pioneering and building leading companies in new markets. He has over a decade’s worth of experience as CEO taking companies from concept to product to business execution to scale to market leadership to liquidity. As founder and CEO of Lightside Games, the world's leading faith-based gaming company, Lightside had over 7 Million people play its games globally. Lightside has had Apple Award winning team members produce its products and has a successful track record of high engagement, production excellence, and lives changed.
Before founding Lightside, Brent was the founder and CEO of Cellfire, the nation’s leading mobile coupon company used nationwide today at thousands of grocers like Safeway and Kroger. Cellfire was acquired by Catalina Marketing. Cellfire is used by millions of consumers and has had over 2 Billion coupons used. He started Cellfire with Preston Tollinger at the age of 26 and built the company from concept to nationwide scale.
Prior to Cellfire, Brent was a venture capitalist at Menlo Ventures in Silicon Valley, sourcing multiple investments the firm made. Brent also spent a year working with refugees and the homeless in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has been featured on CNN.com, FoxNews.com, ABC News, the Wall Street Journal, and other news media. Most recently, Brent was featured in the book Finding God In Silicon Valley. Brent has a bachelor’s degree in Economics with Honors from Harvard University.
Gretchen Thompson is a graduate of Kent State University and certified in Women’s Executive Leadership from Weatherhead School of Management. As an educator herself, she has focused on reading literacy, special education and performance arts for over 20 years in public and private institutions. Gretchen has held executive positions at Weathervane Playhouse, Ford Models and Talent, The Docherty Agency, Qwizdom Inc. and Monarch Teaching Technologies. Most recently, Gretchen served as the Vice President of Sales for Tales2Go before joining the team at GameSalad as the Vice President of Sales & Outreach. Gretchen focuses her extra time and energy into fundraising for various non-profit organizations, athletics and community arts. Gretchen resides in Cleveland, Ohio with her husband and two children.
Tan Tran, co-founder of GameSalad, has been hard at work trying to make life easier through technology. In a previous life, Tan was a senior web developer and a team-leader with Hotels.com. While at Hotels.com, he lead the development of the company's back and front end web-systems, helping Hotels.com become a leader in the travel industry.
Prior to Hotels.com, Tan developed the online bill payment system at FundsXpress, a pioneer in the online banking and bill-pay fields. Tan was also able to hone his business and entrepreneurial skills as the founder of a web design and consulting startup, Angel Concepts. While there, Tan was responsible for the business development and project management of the firm's services.
Tan holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin.
Carlos brings over 13 years of engineering experience in video game and mobile software development and is responsible for leading GameSalad’s day to day operations, product, and software engineering teams.
Prior to GameSalad Carlos has shipped over 30 video game titles ranging from Doom(4), Madden 2013, Age of Booty Tactics, Madagascar 2, Callaway Golf, and Alien versus Predator. He has have worked on a variety of technologies such as Xbox, Sony Playstation, PC/MAC, iOS. Android, Facebook, Android, and Windows 8/10 to name a few. He has had a variety of roles at various places that have been from individual contributor, team lead, and engineering director and has worked at some great companies like Lightside, Certain Affinity, Microsoft, Glu Mobile, Electronic Arts, and Aspyr Media.
Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of New Mexico.
