Thanks to everyone who participated in the second and final of our two GameSalad Game Jams. We had a great turnout, with 294 entries for Jam Number Two!
Best of Show Winners
First up, the Best of Show winners for the Jam: these games all kept with the theme of “Old School” and each of the three winners will be receiving one year of GameSalad PRO!
Our unanimous choice for 1st place was Jungrila’s CHASE THE MOUSE, a Pac-Man-style game that is so chock-full of nostalgic art, sound and overall presentation that you could easily imagine it in its own arcade cabinet.
2nd place went to Quantum Sheep’s classic side-scrolling shooter, ATTACK OF THE KRAKEN. Our judges dug the intense music and gameplay, which was reminiscent of the Intellivision classic Atlantis.
3rd place went to Clock’s DELIVERY BOY ADVENTURE, which definitely shared a key element of retro gaming: brutal difficulty! One member of our review panel thought it should have been called “Delivery Boy Adventures in Death”!’
